Compliance with U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission requires recurring leak testing
of sealed sources and contaminated areas. To assist users in meeting these requirements,
RDC provides Leak Test Analysis and Contamination Survey kits for clients licensed
to sample their own sealed radioactive sources or surface areas.
New automated readers offer precise sample counting and reliable two week turn-around.
Rush Analysis services are also available upon request.
RDC is licensed by the Radiologic Health Branch of the State of California’s Department
of Health Services to collect and analyze leak test samples.
Leak test analysis services are available to all users of radioactive sources including
medical, industrial, research facilities and operators of gauging devices. RDC offers
analysis for alpha, beta and gamma sources.
RDC’s wipe test analysis kit contains easy-to-follow instructions and all of the
materials necessary to perform leak tests on sealed radioactive sources. Samples
are returned to RDC by mail for analysis. A leak test certificate is issued showing
the results of the analysis.
