RDC has been a major supplier of dosimetry services to people whose work may expose them to radiation since 1949. These services include the distribution of various radiation protection products to and from the clients, and the analysis, reporting and record keeping of personnel dose. These services allow RDC customers to determine personnel exposure to occupational and environmental radiation hazards in the workplace.

Accreditation
RDC is accredited to provide dosimetry services with National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) which is part of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). NVLAP Lab Code 100512-0.

ISO 9001:2015 Certification
Radiation Detection Company is registered to International Standard ISO 9001:2015. The ISO 9001 quality standard is the most widely recognized and established quality management system framework in the world. ISO 9001 establishes a framework for RDC to exceed customer expectations and ensure customer satisfaction.

Licensing
RDC is licensed by the State of Texas, Department of State Health Services for dosimeter testing and collection/analysis of leak test (swipe) samples.

The mission of the Texas Department of State Health Services’ Radiation Control Program is to protect and promote the physical and environmental health of the people of Texas. They strive to prevent unnecessary radiation exposure to the public through effective licensing, registration, inspection, enforcement, and emergency response.

Baldrige Criteria 

RDC’s vision is to demonstrate our commitment to excellence through continued pursuit of the Baldrige framework. To date, Radiation Detection Company is the only dosimetry company to apply for either a State or National Level Baldrige Award.

In 2017, Radiation Detection Company received the Progress Award from the Quality Texas Foundation, and in 2018 & 2019 we were awarded the Achievement Award.  RDC’s continues it’s Baldrige journey in 2019.
